What should I prepare for my swim class?

When I was a child, I used to get so excited to go in the water. It doesn’t matter if it’s the swimming pool, the sea, the river or the bathtub at the hotel. I just wanted to soak myself until my hands and feets were wrinkly.

I still get excited when I plan and pack my stuff. Here are just 5 items you should bring when you learn to swim with me:

  1. Swimsuit - the proper swimsuit so it will be easier for you to move in the water and won’t clog the swimming pool drain.

  2. Goggles - choose goggles that cover and protect your whole eyes. There are now with UV protection too.

  3. Swim cap - there are different types of swim cap to choose from. As long as it covers your hair. Also to prevent clogging the swimming pool drain. If you are bald you don’t have to use this.

  4. Kick board - Some of the swimming lessons require you to use a kick board for practicing and improve your technique.

  5. Towel - Get the big microfibre towel so you and the towel dries quickly before you go home.

Additionally, you could also bring these optional items for your own comfort:

  • Sunblock - Choose a good sunblock to protect your skin from UVA and UVB rays. If your face is oily, choose the non-comedogenic sunblock.

  • Small laundry bag - To put that wet swimsuit and towel

  • Sunglasses - You gotta look cool by the swimming pool. Sunglasses is the easiest way to look lit. Besides protecting your eyes from the rays.

  • Extra clothes - Bring an extra t-shirt or other clothes to wear after the swim.

Now you're all set, let's start your swim class.

See you at the pool!
